HOUSTON – Expect scattered storms on Wednesday in the Houston area as an arriving cool front mixes with tropical moisture, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
In the early hours, most of the heavy rain remained northwest of the city, but more scattered showers were moving in from the southwest.
There's a 60 percent chance for rain Wednesday and a 100% chance on Thursday.
"Our heaviest rain is expected from 3 to 6 p.m. tomorrow," said Johnson.
Your kid's trick-or-treating plans will depend on how quickly the rain moves out Thursday night.
Friday the skies will clear out, leaving us with nice daytime temps in the mid-70s for the weekend. Starting Friday into Saturday, our overnight lows will be in the low-50s.
