HOUSTON – The mostly-clear skies carry over into Friday when the temps top out at 100 degrees, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.

It’s just going to be hot,” Paul said.

Temperatures will be above normal on Galveston Island with highs in the low-90s over the next few days,.

If you plan on heading out to the beach this weekend, be sure to hydrate and to take breaks from the sun.

Saturday will also be hot, but a chance for rain may cool us back down into the mid-90s on Sunday.

Next week, cloudy skies bring us a little relief and drop our daytime temperatures into the low-90s.

“If you have outdoor plans for next week you may have to dodge some rain showers,” Paul said.
