HOUSTON – The Houston area could see some severe storms develop overnight and carry over into the Friday morning commute, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
There is about a 40 percent chance for rain this evening. If the clouds hold back, we could see temps peak at about 95, but it will feel more like 100.
The greater concern comes with the storms that are possible overnight. They could bring wind gusts and localized street flooding when they arrive. Come Friday, there will be about a 50 percent chance for rain making for a wet and soggy morning commute.
Some of Friday’s rain will hang around for the weekend with a 30 percent chance of rain on Saturday.
The skies start to clear up next week as daytime temps stay in the low- to mid-90s.
