HOUSTON –- Wednesday will be another hot day in southeast Texas with no chance for significant rainfall, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

“We’re going to notice a few more clouds today from storms moving through North Texas, but I’m not expecting us to get any rain from them,” said Johnson. “Our extreme northeast counties could maybe see a light sprinkle to a light shower this afternoon.”

Early this morning we were in the upper-70s across Houston. Wednesday afternoon we’ll top out in the upper-90s under mostly sunny skies.

The sunny, hot weather continues for the next several days, and we could hit 100 degrees this weekend.

Looking to the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Dorian formed early Wednesday with maximum sustained winds at 50 mph. The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said no coastal watches or warnings were issued. It’s too soon to tell if the tropical system will have any effect on the U.S., but it's something to keep an eye on heading into next week.
