HOUSTON — It will be sunny and on the cool side even through the afternoon hours Monday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
After near-record lows this morning, highs will peak at about 60 degrees, which is about 15 degrees below normal for this time of the year.
Monday will still be breezy with sustained winds of 10-15 mph for most of the area.
Expect a light freeze in may areas tonight. Temps in our northern counties will be in the low 30s. If you're planted your spring flowers they'll need to be covered Monday night.
Daytime temperatures Tuesday will only be a couple degrees warmer.
On Wednesday, the sunny skies continue with daytime temps in the mid-60s.
Thursday will be closer to 70 degrees with a few more clouds in the sky and a slight chance of rain.
The rain chance continues as our daytime temps jump heading into the weekend. By the end of the week we’ll be back in the mid-70s with overnight temperatures in the 50s.
