HOUSTON -- A weak cold front moved through overnight, leaving us with slightly cooler temperatures for Wednesday, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
We were in the upper-50s and low-60s around town in the early-morning hours. The clouds will move out as the cool front clears Southeast Texas.
We’ll top out around 74 degrees this afternoon under sunny skies but with the possibility of a dusty haze.
“Behind the cold front, winds kicked up some dust in Oklahoma and North Texas,” said Johnson. “Some of this dust will make its way to southeast Texas, so you may notice a slight haze later this afternoon.”
Thursday and Friday will be pleasant with mostly clear skies and daytime temps in the 70s.
This weekend the clouds and rain move back into the forecast.
Sunday brings us our best chance for rain – 50-percent. Daytime temperatures will drop from the upper-70s on Saturday to the upper-60s on Sunday.
A slight rain chance continues Monday.
