HOUSTON – The Houston area will likely see a stray shower here and there linger around Monday morning after this weekend’s heavy rains, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
There is a 20 percent chance of rain on both Monday and Tuesday with lows starting out on the low-70s Monday morning. Highs will peak at 87 in the afternoon making for a muggy day.
Our best opportunity for rainfall comes Wednesday as another fall cold front moves through the area with a 50 percent chance of rain.
The front will provide a break from the heat heading into the weekend. Daytime temps should drop back into the mid-70s with mostly clear skies by Thursday.
