HOUSTON – The Houston area may not have seen the rainfall that was forecasted for this weekend, but there is still a chance for some showers on Monday, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.
This weekend’s lack of rain leaves the Houston area with a 12-inch rainfall deficit for the year. The communities along the coast could see rain Monday morning, but it is likely to dissipate by noon.
There is a 60 percent chance of rain forecasted for Monday, but the chance of rain will continue to diminish with each day that passes this week.
Temperatures will remain much the same as they were this weekend with highs in the low-90s and lows in the mid-70s for the first half of the work-week. However, by next weekend, we could see temps reach 100 degrees.
