HOUSTON – Friday morning temps will be quite humid with a small chance for coastal showers, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.

There will be a 30-percent chance for scattered rain in the Houston area on Friday afternoon with temps topping off at 96 degrees.

The weekend looks the same – daytime temperatures in the mid-90s and a chance for scattered rain coming in off the Gulf.

Next week our daytime temperatures will drop a few degrees into the low-90s.

Out in the Caribbean, Gabrielle lost its tropical storm status early Thursday. While it brought heavy rain to Puerto Rico, it's now expected to fall apart into a low-pressure system.
