HOUSTON -– There's a pretty good chance for downpours across the Houston area on Thursday evening, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
Temps will simmer down to the lower-80s Thursday evening with a 20-percent chance for rain.
“We could have a few storms work into the Houston area shortly after sunset,” Garner said.
Friday will be hotter -- around 100 degrees, and there will be a 30-percent chance for rain.
The chance for scattered showers continues through the weekend and increases on Sunday and Monday.
The clouds and rain will cool things off a little next week as our daytime temperatures drop back into the low-90s.
