HOUSTON -- Friday evening will be steamy as scattered rain and storms move out of the Houston area.

"The storms of today are starting to wind down,” said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.

Temps are expected to be in the mid-70s overnight.

There's a 40-percent chance for rain Saturday with a forecast high of 94 degrees.

This weather trend continues through the weekend with a slight increase in the chance for rain starting the middle of next week.

Out in the Caribbean, Gabrielle lost its tropical storm status early Thursday. While it brought heavy rain to Puerto Rico, it's now expected to fall apart into a low-pressure system.
