HOUSTON – The Houston area could see a few more scattered showers on Sunday before we see a warming trend this week, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Some showers could develope near the coast Sunday morning. Those showers should creep inland around 10 a.m. much like they did on Saturday with a 30 percent chance for rain
Temperatures will start out in the mid-70s Sunday morning before reaching the 90s in the afternoon.
If you are headed out to NRG Park for the Grand Prix of Houston, make sure to have an umbrella handy as showers could hit the area around race time.
Starting Monday, skies should start to clear up a bit, but it will stay hot and muggy through the work week.
