HOUSTON – This weekend’s cold front has left the Houston area with drier air as most of the heavy rains have moved out towards the Gulf, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
The weekend showers brought just over an inch of much-needed rainfall to the Houston area. The drier air will provide for cooler overnight temperatures in the upper-60s to low-70s.
There is still a 40 percent chance of rain on Monday with a few isolated showers along the coastline. Highs will peak at 89 in the afternoon.
Some isolated showers may pop up on Tuesday and Wednesday in the Houston area with a 30 percent chance of rain.
More fall weather is on the way as a cold front is expected to arrive on Saturday bring drier air and cooler temps.
