HOUSTON – The new work week will start off soggy as a group of showers move through the Houston area Monday morning, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
There is a 40 percent chance for rain as a Pacific frontal boundary moves through bringing cooler temps for the Houston area. Temperatures will start off in the upper-50s and will peak in the upper-60s in the afternoon.
The sun will start to peek through Monday afternoon after the showers clear out.
Expect to see much lower overnight temps in the upper-30s starting Monday evening and for the rest of the week. Another front will move through mid-week keeping the temps steady in the mid-60s during the daytime and 30s overnight.
There is a slight chance come Friday, but it should not be an issue for Sunday’s Houston Marathon.
