HOUSTON -- There’s another chance for isolated rain and storms Thursday ahead of a building heat wave, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
Temps kick off Thursday morning in the mid-70s with a 10-percent rain chance.
“By 11 a.m. the rain chances move up to 30 percent,” said Paul.
There is a forecast high of 93 degrees on Thursday.
Paul says Friday brings us our next best chance for rain at 40-percent.
By the weekend the rain chance dwindles back down, leaving us with just a few clouds and hot temperatures. Our daytime temps will climb into the mid- and upper-90s by next week with overnight lows in the upper-70s.
In the coming days we could hit 95 degrees for the first time this year -- much later than usual.
