HOUSTON – Scattered showers return Friday to jumpstart a wet weekend, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
Temps kick off in the mid-70s Friday morning with a 10-percent rain chance.
“It increases to 30 percent in the afternoon,” said Paul.
There is a forecast high of 93 degrees on Friday.
Paul says the chance for afternoon downpours and storms lasts through the weekend, although it will be sunnier as we head into Sunday and the next workweek.
We finally hit 95 degrees for the first time this year on Wednesday, and it'll be even hotter next week with a high of 97 degrees slated for next Tuesday afternoon.
