HOUSTON -– The sun made a return on Wednesday, but cold and wet weather is on the way, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
We’ll top off around 52 degrees this afternoon as clouds start to return to southeast Texas.
“Starting off early Thursday morning around 6 a.m. some parts of Houston may see freezing rain with some ice pellets mixed in,” said Garner. “Impacts to our roadways will be limited as it just won’t be cold enough.”
There’s a 30-percent chance for rain Thursday, mainly in the morning hours. Early-morning temperatures will be in the low-30s and daytime highs will only hit the low-40s.
Friday’s weather will be similar – a chilly morning with a chance for rain.
The clouds will carry over into Saturday as warmer daytime temps return. The skies will be clearer on Sunday as we head back into the 60s.
Looking to next week, a good chance for rain returns on Tuesday.
