HOUSTON – The new work week will start off warm and muggy Monday morning for the Houston area as we get closer to the official start of summer, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Temperatures will start out in the mid-70s again before eventually warming up to the low- to mid-90s in the afternoon.
There is a slight chance for rain Monday with the possibility of some thunder-showers in the afternoon. However, do not expect anything too organized.
The chance for rain will carry over into Tuesday with scattered showers possible. The chance for rain will increase for Wednesday before we begin to really dry out towards the end of the week.
Saturday marks the official first day of the summer season.
