HOUSTON – A Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 4 p.m. on Christmas Day.

A different system moved through north of Houston early Tuesday morning.

A new storm system developed and a Tornado Watch is in effect until 4 p.m., said KHOU 11 Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

There is an 80 percent chance of rain for most of the morning on Christmas Day. Temperatures will start out in the mid-60s for the morning and peak at lunchtime in the mid-70s. However, by Tuesday afternoon, temperatures could drop into the low-50s with a possible freeze in store for Wednesday morning.
