HOUSTON – Severe storms are possible Thursday starting in the afternoon, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
The day will begin warm with lows in the low 70s and it will warm up to the mid-80s.
Thursday there’s a 50-percent chance for rain in the afternoon and evening hours. The National Weather Service warns that there is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms from Southeast Texas into North Texas. Areas west of Houston have a chance for less severe storms.
“The greatest threat will be from downtown and up north into Huntsville, Conroe, Cleveland, and The Woodlands,” said Paul.
The chance for scattered rain and clouds continues into the weekend, with another increase in the rain chance on Saturday and Sunday.
