HOUSTON – Summer is officially under way Saturday, but don’t be surprised to see a few scattered showers to start the weekend off, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
We could see some scattered showers develop Saturday morning along the coast with a 20 percent chance for rain. They are likely to work their way inland by lunchtime.
The communities to west and north of the metro area could see the rain in the afternoon before the showers dissipate in the evening.
Saturday morning, we’ll wake up to lows in the upper-70s with highs in the low-90s in the afternoon. Expect to see similar conditions on Sunday with just a 10 percent chance for rain.
We’ll top out in the low- to mid-90s for the next several days. However, early next week a new chance for rain moves in.
By next Wednesday and Thursday scattered showers could cool our temperatures a bit for next weekend.
