HOUSTON -- There will be a handful of downpours on Wednesday but they will not last long, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.

There is a 20-percent chance of rain on Wednesday between noon and 3 p.m.

“We will begin in the morning at 76,” Paul said.

Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-90s in the afternoon.

By Friday the skies will be clear. The forecast through the weekend and into next week calls for lots of sunshine and heat
