HOUSTON – The commute home could be messy for some drivers as showers contribute to the wet driving conditions Monday afternoon, KHOU 11 Chief Meteorologist David Paul said.

Those traveling north on the Eastex Freeway should be careful as well those heading northwest in state Highway 290 from state Highway 34 to state Highway 6.

The Fort Bend County area will also see plenty of rain this evening before the showers clear out overnight.

A light fog is expected to develop from midnight to Tuesday morning so use your low beams for the early morning commute.

Temperatures hovered in the mid-60s this afternoon and should drop down to the mid-50s overnight.
