HOUSTON -- Scattered rain will continue to move inland off the coast Monday afternoon, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.

“Early this afternoon we already had a few small downpours move through the city,” said Garner. “Most of the rain, however, will remain along the coast.”

There’s a 30-percent chance for rain Monday evening with temps in the mid-70s.

Tuesday the rain chance drops to 20 percent with temperatures in the low-90s.

By Wednesday the rain chance goes away, leaving us with mostly clear skies through the weekend.

Temperatures rise later this week with forecast highs in the mid- to upper-90s.

Looking to the Atlantic, we’re keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Humberto. The storm far from land and is expected to turn northward as a hurricane sometime Tuesday. It’s of no threat to the U.S.
