HOUSTON — Heavy rain will continue to move in from the west for your morning rush hour commute Wednesday, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

While all of Southeast Texas experienced rainfall overnight, as of 4:45 a.m. the heaviest rain remained along I-10 and north of I-10.

There's a 70-percent chance for rain through the early afternoon. Fog is also possible in some areas.

Thunderstorms moved into the Houston area Tuesday night along with a cold front. We’ll only be in the 40s and 50s across town today.

The clouds stick around Thursday with early-morning temperatures in the upper-30s.

Friday the temperatures will warm back up – into the 70s in the daytime.

A slight chance for rain returns Friday and Saturday, and a 50-percent chance kicks in on Sunday.

In short, our seven-day forecast does not have a lot of sunshine in it.
