HOUSTON – Scattered downpours will continue to move inland off the coast into southeast Texas on Tuesday morning, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
“Areas south of the Beltway have the best chances for rain early in the morning,” Paul said.
On Tuesday there’s only a 30-percent chance for rain, and the daytime temps will be back in the 90s.
"Keep an unbrella handy just in case," Paul said.
The sun returns for the rest of this week, and by the weekend we could be looking at afternoon temperatures near 100 degrees.
We are still keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Fernand, which will make landfall in Mexico. The storm is not a threat to Texas.
