HOUSTON – The chance for scattered showers continue to move through the Houston area for the remainder of the week, but will be lower on Tuesday, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.

The rainfall is a result of moisture from a weakening Tropical Depression Ingrid streaming north through the Gulf.

“Ingrid is about to be downgraded to extra tropical and no longer a tropical system,” Paul said.

Tuesday morning temps kick off in the mid-70s and top off at 94 degrees with a 20 percent chance for rain.

For the next seven days the chance for scattered rain continues, but our afternoon highs will drop a few degrees later this week.
