HOUSTON –- Patchy fog was reported across southeast Texas early Tuesday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
We have a 20-percent chance for isolated showers today as we top out in the mid-90s.
“We’ll start the day off with mostly clear skies, and that will roll into this afternoon,” said Johnson. “Most of you will remain in the double digits, even though the ‘feels like’ temperature will put some of you in the 100s today.”
The temperature climbs a little later this week as the rain chances continue to dwindle. By this weekend our daytime highs will be around 100 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
Looking at the tropics, we’re continuing to track Tropical Storm Chantal. By this Thursday or Friday we should have a much better idea of where it’s heading, but right now its track has it heading east of Florida. It’s forecast does not show it strengthening much, and it may remain a tropical storm.
