HOUSTON – The weekend will start off cool, but will warm up rather quickly Saturday afternoon, KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul said.
Saturday morning temperatures will start off at about 69 degrees before they increase to 91 in the afternoon. There is a chance for scattered showers in the coastal counties on Saturday morning, so be sure to check the forecast before heading out on your boat.
There will also be an Ozone Watch in effect for Saturday afternoon so sensitive groups like children, the elderly and people with any respiratory illness should limit prolonged outdoor exposure.
Temperatures should be a little warmer on Sunday with high peaking at about 93 degrees. There is a slight chance of rain for the inland counties on Sunday.
