HOUSTON – There is an Ozone Watch in effect for Saturday afternoon as temperatures continue to warm up this weekend, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.
An Ozone Watch is issued when atmospheric conditions are favorable for producing high levels of ozone pollution. Sensitive groups like children, the elderly and people with any respiratory illness should limit prolonged outdoor exposure during such conditions.
Temperatures should be a little warmer on Sunday with high peaking at about 93 degrees. There is a slight chance of rain for the inland counties on Sunday.
