HOUSTON – The weather was nice and pleasant for the last day of winter and things are going to get even better, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner said.
“Tomorrow spring arrives shortly before the noon hour and it is going to feel just like it,” Garner said.
Wednesday morning kicked off with temperatures in the upper-50s and low-60s because of an overnight weak cold front and afternoon highs topped out around 73 degrees. Winds kicked up some dust in Oklahoma and North Texas and some of the dust made its way to southeast Texas, giving us a slight haze, but overall the day was calm.
“It will be pleasant conditions tonight,” said Garner.
Wednesday evening temps will be in the low-60s
Thursday and Friday will be pleasant with mostly clear skies and daytime temps in the 70s.
This weekend the clouds and rain move back into the forecast.
Sunday brings us our best chance for rain – 50-percent. Daytime temperatures will drop from the upper-70s on Saturday to the upper-60s on Sunday.
A slight rain chance continues Monday.
