HOUSTON -- Warmer temps are on their way to the Houston area as we ease ourselves into the summer sizzle.
Friday evening temps will be in the low-70s by 10 p.m.
"If you have any outdoor plans tonight, it will be spectacular," said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
This weekend the skies clear up, but we get back into the 80s as the humidity continues to climb.
"It won't be as cool as it has been in nights past because we have a bit of a change happening," said Garner. "Winds will move in out of the southwest on Saturday, and that will be why and how we warm up to highs around 90 degrees. That will be the case as well for Sunday."
Early next week we’ll be approaching the 90-degree mark once again with overnight lows in the upper-60s.
There is no significant chance for downpours in the seven-day forecast.
