HOUSTON – We’re in for a beautiful afternoon Friday heading into cooler temperatures overnight into Saturday, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.

We’ll top out around 70 degrees Friday afternoon under sunny skies.

Saturday will also be clear with early-morning temps in the 50s and an afternoon high of 72 degrees.

Saturday a slight chance for rain returns overnight into Sunday morning.

“There is an outside chance for a shower and maybe even a thunderstorm as a frontal boundary moves in from the south Saturday evening into Sunday morning,” said Garner. “It’s a weak front, but that’s the cause for our shower potential over the weekend.”

There’s a 20-percent chance for rain Sunday and Monday with an increasing chance on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Early next week we’ll get near 80 degrees before a front moves through, dropping our temps once again for Wednesday and Thursday.

Have a great weekend, friends.
