HOUSTON -- Wednesday will be muggy and breezy as a chance for rain in the Houston area increases, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
We’ll top out in the low-80s this afternoon.
“It is sticky out the door this morning,” said Johnson. “We have muggy and cloudy conditions this morning, but the real chance for rain kicks in tomorrow afternoon.”
Thursday there’s a 40-percent chance for rain in the afternoon and evening hours. The National Weather Service warns that there is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms from Southeast Texas into North Texas. Areas west of Houston have a chance for less severe storms.
Temperatures on Thursday will top out in the mid-80s.
The chance for scattered rain and clouds continues into the weekend, with another increase in the rain chance on Sunday.
After a front clears the Houston area, daytime temps will drop into the low-70s for the weekend before increasing back into the upper-70s and low-80s next week.
