HOUSTON – It will be muggy with a mix of sun and clouds and a slight chance for rain in the Houston area on Wednesday, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
The forecast high for today is 93 degrees with a 20-percent chance for rain, mainly in the afternoon hours.
Thursday’s weather looks about the same, but the daytime temps will drop a couple of degrees.
We’re keeping an eye on big changes in the forecast starting Friday.
“As early as this weekend you could be waking up to slightly more refreshing air,” said Johnson. “Keep in mind we could see some heavy, steady rainfall by the end of the week.”
Tropical moisture could mix with a cool front in southeast Texas, kicking up our rain chances Friday and Saturday.
By Sunday the skies will be sunny again, but the daytime highs will only be in the upper-80s and the early morning temperatures will be in the upper-60s.
