HOUSTON -- Thursday will be another hot day in Houston with a few clouds in the sky, says KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
There's a 10-percent chance for rain today.
We’ll see highs in the mid-90s and lows in the mid-70s for the next several days.
"Looking at the extended seven-day forecast, we remain mostly dry through the weekend," said Johnson. "We're still watching the possibility for a disturbance in the Gulf to bring us rain as early as Sunday heading into the middle of next week."
There will be a lot of uncertainty between now and next week as the tropical system is now in the developing stages. Rain chances between 30 and 40 percent could last until about Wednesday.
Looking to the Atlantic, we’re watching Hurricane Humberto. The tropical storm became a hurricane early Wednesday morning. It’s of no threat to the U.S. We’re also watching Tropical Storm Gabrielle. It also will not affect the U.S.
