HOUSTON – Thursday temperatures in the Houston area will be muggy as the rain begins to exit for the remainder of the week.
"There is only a slight rain chance tomorrow,” said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
Thursday morning temps kick off at 73 degrees and top off in the low-90s, and the rain chance drops to 20 percent before going away entirely for the start of the weekend.
On Saturday the rain returns as a cool front pushes through, leaving us with a pleasant (and cooler) start to the week with early-morning temperatures in the upper-50s.
We’re keeping an eye on two tropical systems: Tropical Storm Jerry is moving northeast in the Atlantic and will not affect the U.S., and closer to home in the western Caribbean, we’re watching a disturbance that has a medium chance of forming. It could bring heavy rain to the Gulf coast east of Texas early next week.
