HOUSTON – Friday evening will be warm and muggy compared to earlier this week, and there’s an increasing chance for scattered rain this weekend, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Temperatures will top out around 87 degrees with a 20-percent chance for rain.
“Most of the rain will move out of the Houston area by 8 p.m.,” Gomez said.
Saturday will also be warm and muggy with a 50-percent chance for rain.
“You may want to take some rain protection just in case for the early part of the weekend,” Gomez said.
The scattered, isolated showers and warm temps continue heading into next week.
Our next break from the heat comes later next week heading into the weekend. Daytime temps should drop back into the mid-70s with mostly clear skies by Thursday.
