HOUSTON — Thunderstorms rolled through pretty heavy Monday afternoon dumping about 2 inches of rain in some parts of the Greater Houston area, and more storms are expected Tuesday morning, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
There is a 30 percent chance for rain overnight, but it will increase to 60 percent chance by 6 a.m.
It is all because of another upper-low in North Texas.
The storms should clear out by lunchtime on Tuesday. Temps will start out in the mid-70s and will peak at about 88 degrees.
The rest of this week is looking nicer with a mix of sun and clouds as daytime temps eat up into the mid-90s.
A slight rain chance returns Friday and Saturday.
