HOUSTON – Scattered showers moved through Houston early Tuesday, but sunnier and hotter conditions are on the way, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.

There’s only a 30-percent chance for rain throughout the day with a forecast high of 92 degrees.

The sun returns for the rest of this week, and by the weekend we could be looking at afternoon temperatures near 100 degrees.

Next week a slight chance for rain returns, but the afternoon temps will remain hot.
