HOUSTON -- Heavy rain moved from west to east through the Houston area overnight, making for slick roads during the morning commute.
KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson says we’ll get a brief break from the rain before more precipitation moves back in Wednesday afternoon and evening. There’s a 60-percent chance for rain this morning and an 80-percent chance this afternoon.
Tuesday night’s cold front dropped temperatures into the 40s and 50s.
“You’re going to need that coat and your umbrella today,” said Johnson. “Even though we’re seeing a break in the rain, we’re going to see additional showers throughout our afternoon hours.”
Thursday will be partly cloudy with morning temps in the 30s and afternoon temps in the 50s.
Friday will be warmer with more sunshine before more clouds and a slight chance for rain return Saturday.
On Sunday and Monday there’s a good chance for rain as another cool front arrives.
