HOUSTON – Expect to see more rain Sunday morning after a frontal boundary moved through the Houston area Saturday evening, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
In the early morning, communities to the south of the Houston metro area, including Galveston, could see some light rain. By midday, communities in the southwest Houston are likely to see some heavier rains with showers moving in from the west.
The rains should dissipate by the Sunday afternoon. Overall, there is about a 30 percent chance of rain for Sunday with highs peaking at 94 again.
By next week our daytime temperatures will be back in the mid-90s, still under mostly sunny skies.
In the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Dorian has weakened to a tropical wave and remains disorganized.
