HOUSTON -- The coastal communities could see rainfall in the morning around 7 a.m., while the Houston metro area is likely to see some scattered showers in the afternoon, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
Storms systems moving westward through northern Louisiana and Arkansas may make their way toward Southeast Texas bringing the area some much-needed rain.
There is a 30-percent chance of rain on Friday. Temps will peak at 94 Friday afternoon.
The possibility for scattered showers continues through the weekend with a 40-percent chance of rain on Saturday and Sunday.
Things really heat up next week as we approach the upper-90s.
