HOUSTON — The chance for showers will continue for the next several days, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.

The rain is really helping to improve our drought situation.

"We'll enjoy some greener grasses, and more of a lush landscape, more typical of Houston in the summertime," he said.

There’s a 50-percent chance for rain on Tuesday as well with a forecast high of 90 degrees.

The rain chance continues for the rest of this week.

By this weekend our temperatures will be in the mid-90s under partly cloudy skies with only a slight chance for showers.
