HOUSTON — Tropical moisture off the Gulf will continue to move inland, bringing scattered rain to southeast Texas through the weekend, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Overnight temperatures dropped down to the mid-70s, giving us a milder start to the day. There will be a nice mix of sun and clouds, with only a 20-percent chance for pop-up showers on Friday.
“We've got an area of low pressure just west of Florida that is tracking westward. This is good news,” Johnson said.
That system will help produce some rainfall this weekend.
The chance for rain will increase this weekend to 30-to 40-percent on Saturday and Sunday.
Daytime temperatures will stay in the low- to mid-90s for the next seven days.
