HOUSTON – The weekend is off to a very damp start as warm moist air could lead to some light rain in parts of the Houston area.
KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said there is a 30 percent chance of rain Saturday with a heavy overcast. Temperatures will hover in the mid-70s for most of the day until a cold front moves in overnight.
Any lightning and thunder from the storm system will move out by 7 a.m. Sunday, so marathon runners will only have to deal with rain. The forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of rain and a north wind of 20 mph.
Sunday will start off around 57 degrees, but the temperature will dip into the 40s by noon.
