Houston Forecast: Light freeze Tuesday evening

HOUSTON – The sun returned briefly to the Houston area on Tuesday afternoon, but there will be a light freeze this evening, according to KHOU 11 NEWS Chief Meteorologist David Paul.

A Wind Advisory was in effect for the coastal counties Tuesday morning, but it will be less breezy this evening.

"It really feels cold out there on this sunny, fall day,” Paul said.

The normal average temperature for this time of year is 65 degrees. Tuesday evening temps will drop to the lower-30s.

The rest of this week will be cold with daytime highs in the 50s under cloudy skies.

The chance for rain returns Friday and Saturday.
