HOUSTON -- More stationary thunderstorms popped up in Southeast Texas Friday afternoon, dropping several inches of rain.

Areas near I-45 South and Beltway-8 were especially hit hard.

While some won't see any rain at all, there's a 40-percent chance for isolated showers Friday. Some of the storms could be severe with small hail and gusty winds.

There’s still a chance for isolated showers and storms through the weekend with forecast highs in the low-90s.

The rain chance goes away next week. The skies will start to clear and daytime temps will rise into the mid-90s.
