HOUSTON -- The Houston area received another round of heavy downpours early Friday morning, but the rest of the day should be a little better, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
“Over six inches of rain fell north of Houston in the last 24 hours,” said Gomez. “The good news is most of the heavy rain and storms have dissipated.”
Pea- to golf ball-sized hail was reported in Conroe on Thursday evening.
There’s still a chance for isolated showers and storms through the weekend with forecast highs in the low-90s.
The rain chance goes away by Tuesday.
Next week the skies will start to clear and daytime temps will rise into the mid-90s.
