HOUSTON -- Scattered rain will drop our temperatures a few degrees this week but it will remain very muggy, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

We’ll top out around 92 degrees Monday afternoon.

“This morning we’re tracking a few light showers moving in from our southwestern counties,” said Johnson. “I’m going to keep a 20-percent chance for light showers to isolated thunderstorms through the afternoon hours.”

Tuesday the rain chance jumps to 40-percent and on Wednesday and Thursday it increases to 50-percent.

The chance for rain and storms continues heading into the weekend.

Daytime temps this week will be in the upper-80s and low-90s.

Overnight temps will be muggy and in the mid-70s.
